Garrett County Commissioners yesterday delayed action on funding for the  Southern Middle School renovation project.    The Commissioners are continuing to arrange a meeting with the Board of Education on funding issues, with a date to be announced soon.

A ‘wish list’ of transportation projects for Garrett County was reviewed by the County Commissioners yesterday.     The county Planning Commission added a new project to the list, involving improvements at the intersection of Route 135 and Sand Flat Road.

Garrett County’s NextGen First Lego league team earned the world championship in Global Innovation in Washington, D.C. yesterday.     The team—7 students from Southern Middle School and 1 from Northern Middle School—received individudal awards and a $20,000 prize as part of the title.
